Intriguing aspirations

My origin of intrigue factor about agriculture and genetics goes back to time when I was in 7 th standard . At that time I was absorbed in astro physics , particle physics & GENETICS. I always wanted to go to space and alter genes in a seed and create a plant. I had coolest school life anyone can have at present time and I am always proud of that . At that time I was too secretive and never told anyne the fact that I want to become a scientist . I thought people will ridicule me but anyway something deep within me was burning and telling me shout that I wanted to become a scientist . In those days we at school frequently had debating and roleplaying . Soon the day came and that day roleplaying session begun , the school was assembled in the 2 nd floor . The topic was : what will you become in your future ?. Everyone said about their ambitions and finally I also stood up . The fire came out . I said I wanted to become a botanical engineer . To me it meant genetic engineering . Everyone wore a weird look on their faces . My father said " there is no subject called botanical engineering . Create one yourself " . There was no measure to my embarrassment . Later and sooner I realized people in our society viewed students or somebody who wants to become a scientist or wanted to agriculture as some low minded pointless person who is going for useless work or ambition . To be more accurate to people their ambition is not a ambition . Soon I saw more wider prospect of how they looked at agriculture and its allied courses when I entered college . In those days anyone who I ask what they want to become they will say this : " I will become a doctor , you see I can earn 40,000" . I never understood what that meant or that figure of 40k meant but most of them said those same words . My college implied even more stupidly about that and they always said this : "When a engineer comes into a room people will sit and look at him . When a collector  comes in people will wish him but sit. WHEN a DOCTOR comes in everyone will stand . So be proud to become one". I never understood the significance of this story because it says that one should become a doctor so that people will stand when he comes in that's all and one never really has ambition to become one except they will because people will stand when they enter . I always hated this feeling of people's view on agriculture that it is worthless . But let me tell something too . When a engineer comes into a room he will walk nice and talk nice and looks with his eyes . All that energy comes from his break fast which was a farmer's product of hardwork and engineer doesn't even know where it comes from and he also doesn't know that it is a farmers work . When a doctor comes into a room he wishes the people who stand up for him and has radiant face because he ate a good nutritious breakfast which comes from a farmer's hardwork . So let me come to the point anyway . Farmer supplies the food which runs the world . In both instances when doctor or some body else will come he will stand up even he knows that everyone there standing up to wish the doctor or doctor himself is there because he ate food which was his hardwork for a year but he will still stand up . He doesn't need your pity or respect . He is one of the people who run the motor of the world ( to say according to Atlas Shrugged ) . He doesn't care whether you stand up or not . He will not ask you don't worry . He is too modest to ask for the service he does provides the world . He will do that till his last breath . The engineer will retire and sleep in his house eating food everyday . The doctor will sleep and live in his home enjoying retirement . But the farmer still runs the world's motor by giving it food and he will feed the world . Even when the engineer or doctor die the flowers , garlands for them will come farmer's nursery . I was at first interested in physics but soon I understood one thing . It was : when man started his life on earth his first venture and subject was agriculture . When he wanted to irrigate the farm he built a canal and found engineering in it . When he wanted to provide nutrition to crop he found chemistry in it . When he calculated seed rate per square meter he found Maths in it . When he understood water should be sucked from the ground by pressure he found physics in it . I found that everything began with agriculture and so why shouldn't begin my life with agriculture ? This is what I asked myself when I was in seventh class . The answer on that day I gave to myself was : I will . So I resolved to do it and I am doing it today now . And I am proud of what I am doing ,  I am going to run the motor of the world . What is more intriguing than this ? Well , I am having  mine . Find your intriguing aspiration . Find your intrigue . Don't worry about the blog for it always has one thing and one thing only : Intrigue. Dwell it more.

Intriguing 2 novels of the month

Well in my last post I talked about video games. It's now been 20 days or more since I came to Tnau  and  joined my ag.bsc course. Meanwhile in the awe of new things I also bought some novels with me.To be specific I bought novels of yandamuri veerandranath too.

Tulasi dalam and tulasi were the best picks in that collection with me. I respected horror genre always. I had specific combination of tastes H.p.lovecraft , E.a.poe, & Stephen king. While that is like that I also specifically watch some horror movies which impart that feeling originally. Gothic and psychological horror were always specific for picks. Well Tulasi dalam and tulasi are bleak ,thrilling combination of both which rivet the reader into infinite number of turns, shocks ,and shudders.

In tulasi dalam there is scene where protagonist tulasi Who is in bed for almost 16 days (while her mom and dad are in corners waiting for somebody to come ) suddenly when guy (saraswati) enters the place drunk saying he forgot to give her 3 drops of blood stands up breaks the guy's head into two. Then drinks 3 drops of blood from him. The scene involved like I was there standing with Sridhar and saradha. Like wise in tulasi when tulasi visits darkha before leaving to airport and tells him about herself and leaves. Darkha runs behind her car like hell and nearly blasts a airplane. The entire scene skips the heartbeat and makes you run with him. Well the feel when both books ended was electric in the spine .

Like when I completed "Haunting of hill house" it left me thinking what were real causes of the incidents (whether it was supernatural or psychological ). Well anyway the book ends with a great line : Whatever walks there walks alone. That line left me spellbound. I felt so happy when I got same feeling when I completed tulasi dalam and tulasi. So sad to see that there is not exact thrilling reproduction of these books as films. Anyway I am  listening to a song playlist just now last two songs : 1) voodoo - spirit beach 2) rio - Duran Duran ended just now. So I'm retiring to my room to sleep. That's it for the blog today . I will dwell for more intrigue soon. Until then, dwell.

Portal

Long back in 2004 or 2005 I remember playing cave story. At that time I was pretty hooked to it and in coming years I went on playing different genres. And then I went accentuating myself to more games with harder gameplay, deep stories. " Longest journey " is one such game .

Although I remained a oldschool wolfenstein or doom fan. I took time to go for Bioshock. As I paralleled into many fps games I always preferred halo or half life to be a nice cut above. And back again in controversial intermediate years after some stellar explosions after 1st year ended. I thought to go back play cave story once again. Once I started playing cave story again I realized how beautiful and stunning those games were. There was no measure to amazement when I noticed depth of characters and narration or gameplay everything was so well placed. So when I contrasted some games from now to then I found out how badly they suck. Again back in summer I purchased the Orange box of valve. I knew about half life but never cared about portal .

But under some weird circumstances I got to play portal 2. That was also weird because I watched a movie by j.j.abrams (super8). In Wikipedia I saw that they marketed the movie also through portal2. So I thought to play it any way. After that I did not understand portal 2 because I never played portal. So I retreived orange box and couldn't hold the thrill anymore.

When I completed portal I was shocked by the puzzling gameplay. The thrilling commentary of a unknown person (later told it is gladdos). And unmatched thrill when player is sent into incenarator. And finally facing HER. The thrilling 5minutes of the ending. The sweet song after ending. Portal is a masterpiece in the orange box.
